Spice It Up

Burn More Bodfyat With Spices

———————————————————————- |

My fitness associate,  Jon Benson,  shared this letter with me and would like to to share it with you.

It’s the spice of life.

Food that is. Or opinions. I guess there is a lot of things that are officially “the spice of life.”

I think spices are the spice of life.

I have a new-found love of spices since hanging around a killer healthy-food chef for the past week.

Wow oh wow… I had no idea.

And hey — I’m helping her put her recipes into to a book that will be out soon.

I’ll send you all a video of this woman doing her thing too in a week or so… prepare to be blown away.

Back to spices:

Not only can spices save an otherwise boring healthy meal…. turns to find out spices can help you burn more bodyfat.

The January 2006 issue of The Journal of Physiology and Behavior cited numerous studies on several spices that increased thermogenesis in the body.

Thermogenesis is simply heat — and since a calorie is a unit of heat, guess what?

More thermogenesis = more calories burned

=

Less bodyfat.

Pretty cool stuff this thermogenesis.

In fact thermogenesis is the foundation of my upcoming handbook “The Radical Fatloss Blueprint.” Out in late February.

I’m giving this book away for freee for 21 days to anyone who owns a copy of “The Every Other Day Diet.”

The book comes out in late February… and it is… well, radical.

Up to 21 pounds in 21 days.

But you can only do it for 21 days. Fair deal, right?

If you want the book for freee, make sure you have “Every Other Day Diet” so I can send it to you the last week of February.

For now, here’s the spices that work the best to help you burn bodyfat:

1. Capsaicin, the compound gives red chili pepper its heat, increased energy via heat expenditure by up to 23% after ingesting it at breakfast.

2. Black Pepper increases body heat (thermogenesis) by bonding to TRPV1 receptors in the brain.

3. Turmeric has both anti-cancer and pro-thermogenic support. Best of two worlds if you ask me.

Combine these three spices:  Red chili pepper, black pepper and turmeric, and use them liberally (as you can handle them) on your lunch and dinner meals.

Just be careful not to overdo the spices, otherwise you’ll end up with more heartburn than fatburn.

I’ll be including FAR more powerful ways to burn bodyfat radically in “The Radical Fatloss Blueprint” — and you can get your copy free the last week of February if you own Every Other Day Diet.

Other therapies are weight loss, occupational therapy, immunoadsorption therapy, and taking sides tools to improve hard drills. Regular exercise is significant for maintaining joint mobility and making the joint muscles stronger. Popular in Germany and Eastern Europe, can induce beneficial long-term effects for rheumatoid arthritis. The resulting effectiveness of treating RA with acupuncture is inconclusive, and more rigorous research seems to be warranted according to one study. Some people have mild short-term symptoms, but in most the disease is liberal for life. Poor prognostic factors include over-eager synovitis, positive serum RF findings, positive serum anti-CCP autoantibodies, carriership of HLA-DR4 Shared Epitope alleles, poor functional status, elevated acute phase response, and increased clinical severity. Estimates of the life-shortening effect of RA vary; most sources cite a lifespan slackening of 5 to 10 years. The mechanism by that RA causes this increased risk remains unknown; the presence of chronic inflammation has been proposed as a contributing factor.

Today has been a success!

Day 1 is winding down. I’ve survived, well that’s a bit dramatic seeing as I’m
completely full as satisfied, not to mention proud of myself. I had a snack at work, hard boiled egg & string cheese. Then when I got off I stopped at subway and got a footlong roasted chicken breast on wheat with tons of veggies and mustard. (half for dinner and I’m saving the other half for my lunch tomorrow). I also got some baked lays (only 130 calories, big difference from my normal choice, cheetos!) and the little pack of apple slices for dessert. Completely yummy and something easy and healthy on my late night of work. I usually get off at 5 or 6 so cooking is easier.
I really enjoy cooking so I’m going to try out a lot of new “healthy” recipes and I’ll post pics and recipes. I really want to try and make menus for my week while I’m off on Sunday and Mondays. That way I will have time to get the groceries and then prep a lot of healthy choices for the week. Maybe a casserole of something for Wednesday nights, $5 footlongs a deal, but I’d like to eat at home more often.

31 Days to a New Me!

It’s appropriate that my blogoversary is coming up.   After all, I’m starting out all over again with baby pounds to lose.  This process of losing weight after baby is what got me started blogging in the first place!

So I figure it is very appropriate to listen to my own stuff.  Starting today, I’m subscribing to my own audio course, Losing Weight After Baby: 31 Days to a New You.  Nothing like your own words to convict and convince you!

One of the action steps today is to fill in the blanks:

I will be back to _________ pounds by ________ (date).   (I suggest putting your pre-pregnancy weight here)

Let’s work together moms & have a great December to help us get towards that goal!  I think if you can maintain your weight during a cookie crazed, sugar coated Christmas season, you’ve achieved success.  And if you can lose a pound or two, even better!

Reading: What is holding me back from losing weight?

A question came in from N.L., Markham, ON

“I’m having trouble losing weight even though I’m doing all the right things. Is there something holding me back?”

Reading:

After doing a vibrational scan, I “saw” a black line on your neck, behind the 5th chakra of self-expression, and across your middle back, behind the 3rd chakra of personal power. What this means is that you do not express your personal power, and so, you are hiding your true self from the world and the people in your life. The extra weight is just a physical manifestation of your perception that the world does not see you for who you are, when in fact, you are not showing the world who you are.

To reverse this, quietly and gently, spend some time energetically focusing on your 3rd chakra, and “listen” for the knowing of who you are and how you want the world to see you. Connect to this feeling for several minutes before you leave your house in the morning, before you go into a meeting at work, before you join friends, and before you spend time with the people closest to you in life-this includes spouses, parents, siblings, and children. Get centered in “who you are” and be present with these people at the same time. Your personal presence will be amplified and the dynamics around you will change enough for you to come out of hiding and be yourself.

Most of all, repeat to yourself, “I like myself just as a I am.”

Love and light to you.

Whoops! Weeks Forty-Five, Forty-Six, and Forty-Seven Results!

My bad! Thank you to Lindsey for reminding me to update. :)

Wow, time has flown – I went on vacation to Palm Springs last weekend and things were a whirlwind before and a whirlwind after, lol.  But I’m back!

Week Forty-Five Results:
Starting stats:
Weight: 247 lbs.
BMI: 36.5

Today’s stats:
Weight: 175 lbs.
BMI: 25.8

Week Forty-Six Results:
Starting stats:
Weight: 247 lbs.
BMI: 36.5

Today’s stats:
Weight: 174 lbs.
BMI: 25.7

Week Forty-Seven Results:
Starting stats:
Weight: 247 lbs.
BMI: 36.5

Today’s stats:
Weight: 175 lbs.
BMI: 25.8

So what’s the story there? Basically, I screwed up on vacation.  Big time.  I ate whatever I wanted – a whole bunch of it.  But, I learned my lesson (a bunch of lessons, actually), and I only gained one pound, for which I’m exceedingly grateful.

Back on this WW wagon with a vengeance!
