I have this amazingly hot little black dress. I had bought it at the beginning of the year with plans to go to Vegas with In-Laws and Husband for our 21st birthdays.
I went to BeBe and tried on several mostly to the approval of my Ex-Husband. A sales woman came back and told me I was trying dresses on that were too big. So she brings me a simple strapless black dress, size XS.
I squeeze into it, with the help of my Ex and the Sales woman.Love it. Buy it for $200. Mistake.
Fast forward 9 months and 10 pounds later and my fat ass doesn’t fit as nicely in that dress.
Saturday my Mom and I had our first ballet of the season- I wanted to wear that dress.
So I put it on backwards, zipp it up and twist and twist, skootching…wiggling, I finally get it where the dress is facing the right way. I then have to wiggle it up my body and very slowly tuck one breast at a time into the dress…the process takes an entire 5 minutes and by the time I was done, I was exhausted and needed to sit down for a minute to catch what breath I could muster up in my lungs and my Mom was on the floor unable to breath from laughing so hard…and I couldn’t breath the rest of the night…though from nothing funny.
All that hard work paid off- I looked amazing; so did my Mom, she is HOT for almost 50.
We had a good night. We went to one of our favorite restaurants, Red Rock Brewery wherein I tried bread pudding for the first time…OH.MY.GOD…If I could just eat one thing for the rest of my life…that would be it (re: my fat ass).
The ballet was 3 small shows, Songs of the Valley (probably one of my all time favorite ballets I ever seen), Three Preludes (so NOT my favorite), and The Dream (which was a 1 act version of Shakespeare’s a Mid Summers Night Dream, and it was SO awesome).
I looked amazing, had a great night and am sad I have to wait till February to go again (though hopefully more weight will have come off so that dress fits just slightly nicer).
