Time to Make Diet a Part of My Training.

This past Saturday was my first day exercising in years so my training this week is light: walking or a slow pace on the stationary bike for about 30 minutes.   It is all I can do now.  But each week I expect to be able to do more.

Getting all the items I need for training has been more problematic. I mentioned in the previous post about the bike I planned on using being broken. I’ve also haven’t been able to find a swim suit that fits: I’m both fat and tall. The few suits I’ve found large enough to cover my but are not long enough to reach my chest. I didn’t realize getting “supplies” would be my biggest trouble this week: I thought it would be my sore muscles.

I bought a diet book , Susan Powter’s “The Politics of Stupid” that I’m going to read as soon as I’m done writing this blog.  I need to loose weight but I’m increasing my exercise so I don’t want to cut too many calories. Skimming the book  at the bookstore, it appeared to be what I needed : something about cutting excess, not needed, calories and exercising .  If it looks helpful I intend to add this diet aspect to my training starting this weekend.

I also bought “WordPress for Dummies” so hopefully my blog will be a little more attractive soon (how to up load pictures and change your theme etc) .
