Biggest Loser = Best Motivation Ever!

Is anyone else as excited as I am that the newest season of the Biggest Loser premiered tonight?! I’m so happy! The new season (season 8!) was exactly the kick-in-the-butt I needed to get back on track after my indulgent weekend. I was so motivated while watching, that I got down on my living room floor and started doing push ups! In fact, I did multiple sets of push ups, leg lifts, squats and lunges! And during the commercial breaks (I was too impatient to build up some “slack” on my DVR) I bounced on my rebounder! It turned into a full circuit workout!

I am feeling newly motivated to re-commit myself to the Clean Program. I am in some major need of some detox (again, from my bad weekend) and have a wedding in, gulp, 24 days!! That gives me just enough time to squeeze in the full 21-day Clean program to help me look and feel my VERY BEST on my wedding day!

After my last fitting, I’m comfortable in how I fit in my wedding dress, but I would love to have glowing hair and skin, and I want to feel light and energized– which I think the Clean program will do for me. I have a background of having TERRIBLE acne as a teenager (that was completely CURED by Accutane– which I used as a very last resort, mind you), however I still get occasional blemishes that I would like to avoid at all costs on my wedding day! So hopefully the Clean program will get this junk out of my system, and get me on track for a stress-free wedding day.

I apologize ahead of time for all of my wedding talk. I did not expect to be one of those brides who talks about her wedding day all the time! I do think I’ve managed to avoid doing it for most of our engagement, but as it’s getting down to the nitty gritty, it’s truly occupying all of my thoughts! Perhaps it’s because we have a mere 3 weeks left, and we still haven’t booked our honeymoon yet?!! Yipes!!!!! I swear, I’m doing it TOMORROW! (did I mention I’m a bit of a procrastinator?) Ha ha.

I know I’ve tried doing this Clean program a million times now, but I have no excuses this time. This time, I have a good two-and-a-half weeks of NO TRAVELING! Wahoo! I used to think I would love to have a job that lets me travel– now I realize how hard it is to travel and eat healthy! It’s very difficult to keep up a regular routine! But the hope of having pretty wedding pictures is a good motivator, and there is no time left for diet slip-ups! I’m committed.

I’ll post my daily meals/juices, and my (hopeful) weight loss as I go! I’ve got a good feeling this time.
