I started my liquid fast Sunday September the 27 at 5 p.m and ended it today Tuesday September the 29th at 5 p.m. I’ve always wanted to do a fast since I was interested in them during my research of fasting several years ago. I wish I had done it earlier. I feel great, energized and felt a great sense of accomplishment. I decided to give my digestive system a break, to let it rest. The weird thing about it for me was that I thought Tuesday morning I would be famished! I was not, in fact I was not hungry at all. I plan to do it again. I did not eat anything solid during my fasting period. I once had a doctor that I will call Dr. “T” who advised me to once a week I was to not eat anything that I could not get through a straw. Meaning for that day all my meals would be liquid. I did not take his advise but it stayed with me. Thank you Dr.”T”! I lost 3 lbs during my 48 hour fast though that was not my intention. I have a sense of well being. I will incorporate drinking my meals once a week. Here is the “Recipe”
- 1 Eggland egg
- cinnamon ( I use a teaspoon, but whatever amount suits you)
- 8 oz of Hood Calorie Countdown Milk ( I get mine at Krogers)
- 2 scoops of whey protein ( I recommend this one)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 oz of GBG 10 in 1 liquid vitamins ( I just use this in the morning shake)
I drink one for every meal and as a snack also, basically it’s just a calorie reduction regiment for a day. I drink plenty of water during the day at least 64 ozs. As always consult your doctor about fasting before you try what I did, it may not be for you.
